Behind the scene of the 20s photoshoot session
April 3, 2019 Collections: Fashion
When Rose told me that she wanted to hire me as her photographer to shoot an editorial project about the 20s, I couldn’t say no . I’ve always been a big vintage lover, whether It’s about the clothing, the style, the makeup… Vintage is one of those things that really inspired me in my photography. So It was really an honor to shoot this project :). Here the behind the scene of this session.
MODEL PREPARATION
I couldn’t be more pleased to shoot with such an awesome team. A big shoutout to my awesome girls: Rose, she wasn’t only the stylist of the session, but she also was the MUA and the hairstylist and I’m very proud to say that she did an amazing job :) Sharon, it was her first vintage/editorial photoshoot and she handled it very well, it was so awesome and fun to shoot this beautiful :)
The Location of the shoot
We wanted a place that reminds us the distant years, a place that put us in the mood of the Roaring twenties. The old port Montreal was the perfect place for this session, dating from the 15th century, this is the historic city centre of Montreal city, this place is well known for its beautiful little cafes and shops, as well as for its beautiful and old buildings like Notre-Dame Basilica. For the session, we explored three different locations for each look..
